What this is
Most students who struggle with assignments do not have a writing problem. They have an interpretation problem: the brief asks for analysis and they produce description, or it asks for a comparison and they produce two summaries side by side.
We work on your assignment with you. That means unpacking what the question is actually asking, planning a structure that answers it, discussing your argument, and giving detailed feedback on the draft you have written.
You leave with a better assignment and, more usefully, with a method you can apply to the next one without us.
Scope
What we will and will not do
- We will help you interpret the brief and the marking rubric.
- We will help you plan a structure and pressure-test your argument.
- We will give line-level feedback on your own draft — clarity, evidence, referencing, expression.
- We will not write the assignment for you, submit anything on your behalf, or sit any assessment as you.
- This is not a restriction we apologise for. Work that is not yours puts your qualification at risk, and it is the student who carries that risk, not the tutor.
Suitability
Who it suits
- Secondary students with coursework, projects or extended writing tasks.
- Foundation, diploma and undergraduate students working on essays and reports.
- Students who write fluently but consistently score below what they expected.
- Anyone who has been told their work is descriptive and does not know what to do about it.
Practical
How a session works
Send the brief, the marking rubric if you have one, and whatever you have written so far — even if it is only notes.
We review it before the session so the time is spent on your work rather than on reading it.
Sessions can be one-off for a single assignment, or ongoing across a term if you have a heavy coursework load.
